Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Go-Printer handles personal information under POPIA. It applies to enquiries, service records, setup visits and label supply requests handled by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd.

Personal information we handle during sales and service

Go-Printer collects the details needed to quote, supply, install and support thermal mobile label printers, label rolls and related parts. That may include a name, business name, delivery address, contact details, site location, purchase notes and service history. Where a technician visits Montague Gardens, Cape Town or another branch area, we may also record access notes, equipment condition and calibration settings.

We do not collect more information than is needed for the work in hand. If you ask for setup, repairs or label supply, the information shared through our contact form and during the job is used only for that purpose and for related record keeping.

How we use the details you send

We use personal information to manage enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange supply, schedule onsite setup and maintain service records. The same record may be used to confirm label sizes, barcode or QR printing needs, battery replacement, printhead cleaning and other technical work on the printer.

  • To process requests for printers, rolls and accessories
  • To organise delivery, collection or onsite service
  • To record repairs, tests, calibration and preventive servicing
  • To keep an internal history of parts fitted and work completed
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting duties

Information shared with service partners

We may share limited personal information with trusted service partners only where it is needed to complete a job, for example a courier for delivery or a technical partner supporting a repair. Those parties are expected to use the information only for the assigned task and to handle it with care.

We do not sell personal information. We also do not share a customer list for unrelated marketing. Any disclosure is limited to what is needed for the order, the repair or the legal record.

Records kept for labels, repairs and compliance

We keep certain records so that we can support warranty checks, repeat servicing and fault tracing on mobile label printers and label supplies. These records may include model details, print width settings, battery checks, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi pairing notes, label calibration values and print quality findings.

  • Job cards and service notes
  • Quotation and invoice records
  • Delivery and collection details
  • Training attendance notes
  • Communication linked to a specific order or repair

Records are retained only for as long as needed for business, legal and tax purposes, then reviewed and removed when they are no longer required.

POPIA rights and your control over information

Under POPIA you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, correct it or object to certain processing where the law allows. If information is no longer needed, or if it was captured incorrectly, you may ask for it to be updated or removed where we are permitted to do so.

Some details must be kept for tax, accounting or contract reasons. In those cases, the law may require us to retain the record even after a deletion request.

Cookies, site forms and technical logs

Our site may use basic cookies and server logs to keep the site working and to understand form activity. These records may note a browser type, device information and the page used to send an enquiry. They are used for security, troubleshooting and form handling, not for identifying you beyond what you submit.

If you submit our contact form, the details you enter are stored so that the enquiry can be processed and linked to the relevant request. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information.

How to raise a privacy request

If you want to ask about your personal information, correct a record or object to a particular use, please send the request through our contact form. Include enough detail for us to identify the record involved and the change you want made. We may need to confirm your identity before taking action on the request.

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal duties or internal record keeping. The latest version will apply to information handled after it is published.
