Hands-on work with printers that must keep moving
Our team supports thermal mobile label printers used for barcode labels, QR labels and stock identification in busy sites. Work can include printer setup, Bluetooth pairing, Wi-Fi setup, label calibration and solving print quality faults where labels come out too light, too dark or off-centre.
We look for people who are comfortable around direct thermal and thermal transfer units, and who understand common label sizes, battery life checks, printhead cleaning and the difference between a clean feed path and a jammed one. The work suits someone who notices small details before they become return trips.
Roles we hire for across the Cape Town base and field work
Depending on the need, we bring in people for technical support, warehouse coordination, field servicing, product training and label supply administration. Some days are office-based in Montague Gardens, others involve site visits in Cape Town, Bellville, Midrand, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria or Gqeberha.
- Field service technicians who can install, test and repair printers on site
- Training staff who can show operators how to load rolls and check calibration
- Operations and admin support for scheduling, stock movement and job notes
- Technical staff who can diagnose pairing faults, battery issues and feed problems
What practical experience looks like here
Experience in printing, stock handling, courier work or retail stockrooms can help, but it is the way you work that matters most. We need people who can follow a ticket, ask good questions, keep tools organised and leave equipment tidy after a service call.
It also helps if you are comfortable explaining the basics to operators on the floor. A good technician can show when to clean a printhead, how to check battery health and why the wrong label roll can cause poor print results or barcode trouble.
- Careful hands when handling printheads, clips and batteries
- Clear communication with warehouse and stockroom staff
- Basic fault finding on mobile printers and label rolls
- Good judgement when a repair needs parts or a full service
Field work, training and the service table
Some roles involve travel to customer sites for on-site setup, preventive servicing or repairs. That means working around warehouse shifts, courier dispatch routines and retail receiving areas, with proper note taking and neat handover sheets. You may also help with battery replacement, belt clip repair, printhead cleaning and label jam clearing.
Training matters here. A person who can set up a unit and then show the user how to load it properly often saves the next problem. We value steady work over fancy talk, because a label printer that keeps missing the mark slows a floor down very quickly.
How to apply with your CV
If you want to apply, send your CV through our enquiry form on the contact page and mention the role type you want. If you have field service experience, stockroom systems knowledge or hands-on repair work, include that in the message so the right person can review it properly.
Please include your location, the type of work you have done and whether site visits around South Africa suit you. A short note on your printer, label or technical background helps us sort applications without guessing.
People who fit the way we work
We work best with people who stay calm when a printer is not feeding, who can spot a label calibration issue and who know that a clean printhead makes a real difference. The work is practical, sometimes messy, and often tied to the pressure of live stock movement.
If you prefer concrete tasks over vague instructions, this sort of role can suit you. We value steady judgement, neat records and the patience to get a label roll, battery or pairing issue sorted properly.
